Neurava (https://neurava.com/) is a pioneering MedTech startup specializing in wearable technology that detects and alerts for seizures, cardiorespiratory dysfunctions, and the risk of SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy). Its patient-centric monitoring platform transcends traditional seizure detection methods, offering transformative potential for millions of people worldwide living with epilepsy.
The company was co-founded by CEO Jay Shah and CTO Vivek Ganesh, who collaborated with Pedro Irazoqui, PhD (Purdue University, Johns Hopkins, DARPA) to spin the technology out of Purdue University.
Neurava now joins a dynamic community of neurotech innovators, including Cooltech, eNeura, JuneBrain, Longeviti, Mebster, and SpeechVive, that have operations based at City Garage in Baltimore.
Bob Storey, Managing Partner at LaunchPort, expressed excitement about Neurava’s move:
“We’re thrilled that Neurava has chosen LaunchPort as its home in Baltimore. Not only do they enhance the already robust neuroscience ecosystem in the Maryland/DC/VA region, but LaunchPort and Neurava are also collaborating on manufacturing plans to leverage Maryland-based specialty PCB and component supply chains.”
Neurava is set to complete its move-in by the end of November.
