Residents can establish their HQ operations at LaunchPort within the City of Baltimore’s Enterprise Zone. LaunchPort is located at the City Garage – within one of the Country’s most exciting urban investment programs: Port Covington.
The facility includes social areas and four dedicated conference rooms for use by Residents, as well as access to large event space in the Betamore co-working campus.
Engineering / Prototyping Modules
Engineering modules range in space from 120 to 340 sq feet, and are equipped with adequate power and compressed air for electromechanical assemblies.
The regulated facility operated by Engineered Medical Systemts, producing FDA approved medical devices. Residents have the option of contracting manufacturing with EMS, or operating a regulated manufacturing cell with their own organization.
Sterilization and Clean Rooms
Steris Hydrogen Peroxide sterilization units are operated in collaboration with Longeviti Neuro Solutions. Capacity is available to Residents and Institutions for processing of devices/products for clinical trials or to conduct research into the validation of sterilization processes.
A 600 sq foot ISO 7 clean room is available for development of GMP processess in device manufacturing and tissue engineering.
Residents receive complimentary access to full Quality Control System templates, which include Product Design and Device History Record protocols necessary for FDA and CE approval, full templates for the Quality System Manual, Manufacturing SOP templates, and Manufacturing Job templates.
Additionally, Residents receive guidance for medical device accounting and operations systems, including recommended turnkey Chart of Accounts necessary for supporting an operational medical device business
